MARVELLOUS MASQUERADE STILL LIFE New! [Beginners/improvers. Any media]

Lose yourself in the romance and decoration of the Venetian Masquerade ball. Luscious fabrics, shapes and details brought to life by lighting. Unlike some of our previous animal and human models, a still life sits still! So you have all day to take sketches and develop a finished painting. Or you may like to do a series of faster work inspired by this gorgeous subject.
Working in your chosen medium [please see materials list here for suggestions] there will be support throughout the day, after we have considered the ‘rules’ of how to set up an attractive still life with shapes, how to make an accurate drawing, how to use and exaggerate lighting and how to treat different materials like velvet or metal in your painting.
You can choose your style from traditional to abstracted, the materials and how you spend the day. Beginners are welcome to come and give it a go, there won't be formal training in media today [ see our watercolour and acrylics intro courses]. Although, as ever, Liana spills over with tips and ideas to take your ideas forward!

Students paint for all sorts of reasons...skills, an enjoyable hobby, social life, self-expression, relaxation and so on .Liana’s sessions are considered good value, inspiring and packed with tips ; several serious students have even gone on to sell their work.
Liana is a seasoned trainer, therapist and artist, skilled at breaking down learning steps, instilling confidence and creating a warm, fun, supportive atmosphere. All students are also invited to join her Artists Circle community for free challenges, news, critiquing and teaching.
