TIGER,TIGER, BURNING BRIGHT. Realistic or abstracted animal portrait. New!
[beginners/improvers. Any media]

Unlike our last animal drawing class this tiger will sit still, captured in a photo! Whether you want to paint a realistic image of this majestic creature or create a decorative or abstracted image, we will begin with a warm-up sketch to get our ‘eye in’, then develop a composition.
From our chosen reference point [ I will bring photos; you might like to bring your own. A different animal even?] we will learn a useful classical technique for accurate portraits as we transfer our sketch to canvas or paper,
You can then paint in your chosen medium or perhaps mixed media as you richly embellish your design. The colours and stripes of a tiger lend themselves to a bold painting, do you dare? ;-]
[Again, we will jump straight into the subject today, without discussing medium techniques, but bold beginners are very welcome and will get lots of help]
