Need help to get started …. and the confidence to keep going.
This course may give you what you’re looking for.
Liz Diamond is a Picador published novelist and experienced Creative Writing Tutor. She also has an MA in Writing from Glamorgan University. This course, meeting fortnightly, will run for an initial five sessions, with an option to continue if ongoing support is needed. We will cover the following areas.
To plan, or not to plan …….
Getting started …. and keeping going ……
Who tells the story … and how?
The narrative arc. What is it …..?
How to write realistic dialogue.
Developing characters that readers care about.
A sense of place and time.
The use of the sub-plot.
The finishing line ….. for when you get there.
Agents/editors and that dreaded synopsis.

Classes run on alternate Fridays starting Friday, 5th May, from 10:30am - 12:30pm (5 Week Course)
£80 for the course (please note: there is a £1 booking fee, per transaction online or by telephone, and a 50p booking fee, per transaction, in person at the Box Office.)
