A New Term of Spanish Classes for Autumn
Beginners Spanish
Suitable For: Beginners
What you will be learning
Classes include understanding basic dialogue, and include speaking, reading and writing.
This course will include:
- The alphabet and pronunciation
- Greetings
- Presentation – answering questions about yourself
- The verb ‘to be’
- Colours
- Numbers
- Male and Female Gender
- Definite and Indefinite articles
- Plural Formation
- Verbs in the present tense
- Vocabulary – to be able to form basic dialogue, such as meeting people, in shops and restaurants

Beginners Spanish Level 2
Suitable For: Beginners with some basic knowledge, or those who have attended the Beginners 5-week class.
Classes include understanding basic dialogue, and include speaking, reading and writing.
What you will be learning:
- Descriptions of people
- Descriptions of places
- Present tense with irregular verbs
- Past tense
- Future tense
- Putting sentences together using verbs
- Practicing fluid dialogue between people
- Asking for and understanding directions

Intermediate Spanish
Suitable For: For those with basic vocabulary and who understand past and present tenses. You may also have attended the Beginners and Beginners Level 2 courses at Pavilions Teignmouth.
What you will be learning
- Classes include speaking, reading and writing, with an emphasis on grammar and conversation.
- Review of what has been learned as a Beginner
- Conversations
- Pronouns and prepositions
- Learning to write emails and letters
- Present continuous tense
- Imperfect tense
- Present perfect tense
- Practicing these tenses in dialogue
- Specific vocabulary for use when travelling
