An 8-week journey into balance, harmony, and vitality

If you are looking for tai chi for women in Teignmouth, this course offers a calm, supportive, and empowering space to reconnect with your body, your energy, and your inner steadiness.

Present and Calm is designed for women navigating times of transition or hormonal imbalances: menopause, fertility challenges, PMT, retirement, or major life changes, who want to feel more grounded, resilient, and at home in themselves.

Body Active Listening and Soothing

During transition times, whether you are navigating the stormy weather of menopause, struggling with fertility challenges, feeling the monthly drain of PMT, changing homes, or discovering the freedom of retirement, our hormones speak to us.

Let’s get together and begin a journey to listen. Instead of passively letting our bodies affect our mood, our energy, and our sense of self, let’s meet them face to face and open to their messages. If you feel physical exhaustion, sluggishness or emotional overwhelm, your “Qi” (vital energy) is possibly blocked by stress, or other health issues. The first step is to be more present, calm down, and relax.

Led by an Energy Psychotherapist and Tai Chi/Qigong Instructor, this course is more than simple exercise. It combines the slow, meditative flow of Tai Chi and soft Qigong movements with energy medicine and energy psychology techniques to help you achieve higher levels of self-empowerment and calm.

A Progressive 8-Week Journey

Over the term, we will weave together four powerful pillars of wellbeing:

· Tai Chi Foundations: Gentle, flowing movements to improve balance, bone density, and overall health.

· Qigong for Women’s Health: Specific forms designed to soothe the meridians for general female health.

· Energy Psychology & Acupressure: Learn to self-massage specific points and “tapping” techniques to soothe the nervous system and clear emotional blockages.

· Energy Medicine Techniques: Learn a five-minute routine that can become the staple of your daily stability and health.

Meet Your Instructor

Alda has been sharing the art of Tai Chi and Qigong for over twelve years, having taught in-person classes across Dublin and Devon. During the lockdown years, she transitioned to teaching online to support her students’ health in a time of great need, with some of her long-term Irish students joining her virtual sessions.

While continuing her own dedicated practice at home, Alda spent the last few years training deeply in Energy Psychology modalities. She has now returned to in-person teaching, bringing together her extensive movement expertise with these powerful new tools to help women find strength and serenity. The first course was so popular that a new course had to be created. Early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.

She is navigating menopausal challenges herself, and she offers this course as a reminder that community, gentle practice, and consistency truly matter.
