Getting re/started! Anyone can jump straight into this, whether you are a beginner or returner. If you wish you can draw the natural forms [pencil/ fibre pen etc] or go bold with a bamboo pen [Liana will bring some and demonstrate], stick, straw, inks and other as we try to capture the character of these amazing shapes.
After a warm up exercise, our focus will be on planning the page, expressive lines and marks and learning the techniques with each tool. Then a few finishing touches can put ‘the cherry on the top’.
So lots of experimenting and playing or if you wish, bring paints and concentrate on a finished piece. The choice is yours! Often coming together in a group makes that step of giving ourselves creative time, allows us to pick up skills, be inspired by others and enjoy the company of like-minded students.
We have small groups in an airy, spacious studio next to the sea with in-house café, whats not to love?! Liana is known for her warm welcome, clear demonstrations & teaching steps and encouraging confidence and fun risk taking.
All students are invited to her free Artist’s Circle for further learning and community.
