Part of our Book Fest event – Saturday 7th November 2.30pm

Have you ever thought about turning your book into an audiobook but aren’t sure where to start?

Audiobooks offer authors a fantastic opportunity to reach new audiences, bring their stories to life and create another way for readers to enjoy their work.

But what’s actually involved in making one? Should you narrate your book yourself or use a professional voice actor? How much does it cost? And how do you get your finished audiobook onto platforms like Audible and Spotify?

Join Steve Hindley from iNarrator, a professional audiobook recording and production studio based in The Pavilions, Teignmouth, for a friendly and practical workshop exploring everything you need to know about creating your own audiobook.

We’ll guide you through the process, from preparing your manuscript and choosing a narrator to recording, editing, production and publishing. You’ll hear real audio examples, discover some common mistakes to avoid and get a realistic understanding of the time and costs involved.

Whether you’re a published author, working on your first book or simply curious about the possibilities of audio, this workshop will give you the knowledge and confidence to take the next step.

No technical knowledge or recording experience required. Just bring your curiosity and a love of books!
