August’s Comedy Night line up:

Open - Steve Day

Steve Day, the original (and maybe not entirely deaf) deaf comedian, is coming to town! This award-winning funnyman is a whirlwind of side-splitting wit and hilarious observations on life.

The Guardian themselves called him "revelatory and very funny," and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Steve's a regular on Radio 4, a touring powerhouse across the UK and Europe, and even managed to dramatically share the stage (and maybe a punch?) with the legendary Bill Nighy. Critics adore him (Time Out Comic's Choice called him a "hilarious, hard-of-hearing, heavenly host"), audiences love him (Chortle raved about his "self-effacing charm")

Middle – Kris Davies

High energy hard working. Grunge Comedian with a dash of music.

His relatable and well-crafted jokes are taken from his twenty years of being a youth worker, a grandfather at 41, parental experiences of Neurodiversity, music festivals and his own wayward youth. Accompanied by a range of original songs and ditties. He has supported Kiri Pritchard Mclean, Stephen Baily, Nish Kumar, Harriet Kemsley and Bobby Mair and performed all over the UK including Cardiff and Birmingham Glee Clubs, Sandy Park stadium Exeter, Belly laughs, and London’s Back yard comedy, The Stand-Up club and the Bill Murray.

As a Welsh language Learner, he made his Welsh Language Comedy Debut in Pontardawe Arts Centre in 2021 and performed at the National Eisteddfod after learning Welsh for a year. He recently performed in 2023 Eisteddfod supporting Kiri Pritchard-Mckean. He has also appeared on BBC Sesh, regional radio and Tales from Wales Podcast. Founder of Laugh easy Comedy MCing and running new material and professional nights across the country.

Close - Laura Lexx

You've seen her conquer Live At The Apollo, rule the roasts on Mock The Week, and annihilate the competition on Roast Battle! Now Laura takes centre stage for a night fun and laughter.

Laura brings a unique blend of charm and energy, but don't be fooled by her comfy demeanour -beneath that warm exterior is a sharp tongue and biting wit! Her savage takedowns of audience

members are legendary, and it's no wonder they go viral. What's more, Laura's has a string of hit stand-up shows on ITVX and laugh-out-loud books, Klopp Actually and Pivot. Plus, she's an in-demand writer on Have I Got News For You, The Now Show and The Really REALLY Rude Puppet Show.
