Postscript Books

Postscript Books is an independent bookseller based in Devon, specialising in high-quality, discounted fiction and non-fiction. We offer a thoughtfully curated range for curious readers — from bestsellers and literary classics to more unusual titles in art, history, nature, science, and biography.

At the Teignmouth Christmas Book Fair, we’d love to bring a warm, festive bookstall atmosphere with a diverse selection of books and a small range of attractive, book-themed stationery and gifts. Our display will be neat, welcoming, and organised by theme, making browsing easy and enjoyable for all ages. A dedicated children’s section will offer beautifully illustrated books and stories for younger readers.

We’re committed to sustainability, using recyclable paper bags and FSC-certified materials. Our monthly book catalogue, featuring 200 new titles each issue, will be available at the fair to support discovery and engagement.

We see the Teignmouth fair as a valuable opportunity to connect with local readers and share the joy of books this festive season.

First Draft Books

First Draft Books is an independent bookshop for curious readers based in Bovey Tracey. We opened our brick-and-mortar shop in January 2024 with the belief that there is a book for every person Our small but eclectic selection reflects that.

But we are more than just books – though that’s our first love. From reading socials to book talks, supper clubs to book clubs, we support our community to discover something new and celebrate the joys of reading together.

At the Book Fair, we would bring along a mix of young reader, fiction and nonfiction that we hope would surprise and inspire Teignmouth’s readers.

Teignmouth Writers

Founded in late 2023, our group has grown to 25 local members, ranging from journaling enthusiasts to published authors.

We’ve covered topics like social media, marketing, self-publishing, financing, book promotions, and the art of writing, editing and typesetting.

We are a lively and friendly group who meet monthly over coffee and biscuits, where we chat about all things creative and writerly. As of June, we’ve also launched a weekly silent writing group in Teignmouth—a peaceful two hours to write, reflect, and enjoy a good cuppa (and maybe a slice of cake).

There will be publications from seven authors available at the Teignmouth Writers' book stalls on the day of the Fair.
