Chordettes Acapella in Concert Event Information page

The Chordettes Acappella Chorus are excited to be returning to the Pavilions Teignmouth to perform a concert of some of their favourite songs and proud to yet again be supporting the RNLI as they did at our sell-out concert in 2017.

The repertoire of four-part a cappella (unaccompanied) arrangements of well-known songs includes popular classics such as Higher & Higher, How Deep is Your Love, Songbird and Sweet Dreams, as well as songs from the musicals and contemporary hits including “I’m Better When I’m Dancing” by Meghan Trainor and “Brave” by Sarah Bareilles.

Formed in Teignmouth in 1974 and whilst they are currently based near Newton Abbot for rehearsal purposes, they remain very proud of our Teignmouth heritage and maintain strong ties to the town with many singing and Committee members still living there. Our members come from as far afield as Taunton, Exeter and South Dartmoor and from a variety of backgrounds, but we all have tons in common - not least our love of singing and our desire to continually improve whilst being part of a friendly, supportive chorus.
