If these are your favourite subjects come and try something new! If you like modern abstracted style that still has a discernible subject, then come and try these fresh, fun ways to add targeted texture, [one may depend on the kindness of the weather!]. We will see the value of underpainting to create easy colour mixes, add our texture and when dry, start to build layers and colours to the image, learning new skills as we go.
With demos to illustrate and practice ‘goes’, this effective method is deceptively simple and therefore suitable for beginners or improvers, who may then take their work to a more finessed finish.
You can paint along with Liana, step by step, or branch out on your own design [do bring any fave photos or sketches for reference,she will have her trusty inspiration file too.
A new technique can really spark the imagination and take you off in exciting directions. We will aim to have a full, modern painting to take home and hang proudly on the wall that night, [depending on your pace of course]. We might even manage two, so do look at the materials list below in good time because there are some simple but specific items you need for this.
