Diansa!

 

Diansa is a rhythm originates from the Kassounke people of Southern Mali. It is a competition dance for young men, but is now popular among djembefolas worldwide. Characterised by mind bending cross patterns and driving bass-lines.

 

In the sessions you’ll get to play djembes, kpanlogos, dun dun bass drums and a range of percussion including bells, shakers and clave. Expect big drum breaks, big smiles and most of all lots of fun!  

 

All sessions are accessible and open to all. Drums are provided or you are welcome to bring your own. Booking is essential. Class runs from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. 

 

 

Classes are aimed at 16+

 

Four drum classes in total running April 2nd, 9th, 23rd and 30th. Each class £15 or £50 for all.

 

Booking fee per transaction - £.50 at box office, £1.00 phone or internet bookings
