A Puerto Rican rhythm rooted in the island’s history of African Slavery. This music became symbolic of the Puerto Rican identity and can be traced back to its African heritage.
Traditionally played on barrel shaped drums, we will play a mixture of congas and Ghanaian kpanlogos. Each tuned slightly differently to create a rhythmic melody. This is an upbeat and accessible rhythm.
No experience necessary! Starting from scratch, you will learn basic fundamental techniques which will have you grooving in no time.
