Growing up in the far North and beautiful West Coast of Scotland, has meant that Gail has the sea in her blood!

Growing up in the far North and beautiful West Coast of Scotland, has meant that Gail has the sea in her blood! She now lives in the beautiful Devon village of Bishopsteignton.

Whilst studying Art and History of Art, her love of impressionism developed and now the blend of these two passions shines through in her paintings.

Gail started selling her work over 12 years ago and is now a full-time professional artist, working mainly with oils and some mixed media.

Her main focus is on the sea/sky/coastlines of Devon, Dorset and Cornwall but her other love is painting trees and wild flowers. Keep an eye out for her very popular collection of  'Hedgerow' and 'Refections' series.

She sells original paintings, framed & mounted prints and greeting cards. Gail is happy to discuss a commission of your favourite beach too, which is always a firm favourite.

You will be able to see Gail selling mainly at shows and events throughout the West Country or you can visit her online gallery via her website.

”Most of my paintings are beach orientated. Some are real, some are brought together from memories and imagination. I have a particular fascination with the sea and clouds – finding them very therapeutic and inspiring. No matter what the weather is like; ‘warm & balmy’ or ‘wild & stormy’, a good walk along a beach will always clear your mind and promote positive feelings."

A selection of Gail's work will be avilable to view in the main foyer of Pavilions Teignmouth from Monday 25th september until Friday 20th October.

All pieces will be available for sale and entry to view art is, as always, completely free.
