Improvers Photography Session - Afternoon and/or Evening Event Information page

These sessions are designed for those who have a basic understanding of shutter speed, aperture and ISO but who want to practice using their cameras out and about on a photo walk with guidance from our tutor. 

You will practice capturing and showing movement playing with shutter speeds, controlling depth of field to show blurry backgrounds or clear backgrounds using the aperture setting and controlling image quality using your ISO settings. 

The balance of settings will be practiced throughout the sessions with a look at semi automatic settings and manual mode when necessary. 

The Afternoon session will be focussing on the balance of settings in good light and we will look at composition, light and shade and lots of other aesthetic properties. 

The Evening session focuses on using your camera in low light, they teach you how to work with your camera with limited camera settings available. We will look at how to use available light in our scene, how to take long exposures and we’ll use a tripod to make the most of your evening photos. 

Individual sessions are £60 each or you can sign up to both sessions, in one transaction, for £110.

Afternoon session is 4:00pm to 6:00pm

Evening session is 7:00pm to 9:00pm
