Yoga with Fiona
Hatha yoga class for beginners and those with some experience. We will explore a range of postures (asanas) and breathing techniques to encourage focus, build strength and increase our range of movement, ending with a deep relaxation to leave you feeling refreshed and energised.
I am a British Wheel of Yoga teacher in training. I have been practising yoga for over 12 years and have completed the BWY Foundation Course. I am studying the Level 4 BWY Diploma in Teaching Yoga. I am a qualified First Aider and I have undertaken a relevant qualification in Anatomy and Physiology.
I live in Teignmouth and came to yoga seriously in my early 40s because I was very stiff in my joints, my hips were permanently aching and I had injured my achilles tendons. I discovered that yoga is wonderful for getting every part of your body moving and feeling better, but also for finding that space in your head – a mindful, peaceful awareness. I may still not be very flexible, but that doesn’t matter, my body feels better and I love it and I want to be able to share that with you, to enable you to explore your own body and mind.
You will need
A non-slip mat or I can lend you one to begin with.
Loose, comfortable clothing and a blanket for the relaxation.
£7 per class payable on the evening, or £36 for the block of 6.
I do like to book in blocks of 6 classes at a time, or if you would like to drop in or give a class a try, please contact me beforehand to see if there are spaces available to save disappointment.
