Meet your tutor Mariafrancesca Greca:

I am a multilingual educator who worked at Exeter University as an Italian teacher. With a rich and varied background in teaching, administration, tourism, and customer service. I hold a Master’s degree in International Tourism Management from Leeds Beckett University and a degree in Political Sciences from the University of Naples “Orientale.”

My passion for languages and culture has shaped both my studies and my life. I studied Portuguese at university in Naples and later lived and worked in Portugal across different cities and contexts. Portugal remains close to me not only through these experiences but also because of my husband’s family, whom we visit often.

Over the years, I have volunteered in schools and community centres, preparing language clubs, assisting teachers, and teaching Italian and Portuguese. These opportunities have allowed me to share my love of languages while supporting learners of all ages.

I now live in Teignmouth with my husband, our daughter, and our dog Betty.
