OUTDOORS PAINTING ON THE SEAFRONT        

The masters knew that painting ‘en plein air’ as it’s called, brought new depths and insight to their work. They soaked up their surroundings and captured the ‘vibe’ of the scene.

We will start indoors with some tips for successful outdoor work then move outside to find a nearby scene that captivates us. Will it be the Ness, the Pier, the Sea, the Beach, the Holidaymakers having fun, the Gulls??? There’s something for everyone as we soak up the sun, fresh air and maybe even a little sea spray! If the weather is unkind we will work indoors from source materials.

SUMMER SCHOOL IS HERE!

Make the most of summer with our relaxed painting days ; whether making the most of the glorious seafront [and café!] or in our large airy studio, we will dip our toes into a variety of summer subjects and interesting techniques. With her usual enthusiasm, humour and patience, Liana will guide you through and encourage you to produce gorgeous work to capture the summer. Bring your visitors too for a great experience!
