A new exhibition from three artists who are inspired by this beautiful part of Devon and seek to express this in painting. Although we approach our ideas in different ways, our work complements each other and this exhibition follows on from two successful exhibitions – ‘The Power of Three’ at Artizan Gallery, Torquay in 2017, and ‘Tor to Shore’ at Birdwood House, Totnes in 2018.
Alan Gregory works in oils, exploring the light and atmosphere in sea, land and sky, conveying a feel of place with shimmering reflections in air and water. You can see more of Alan’s work at: www.alangregoryart.com
Chris Pitman uses both oils and acrylics to build up images of depth and clarity, often using boats and the character of buildings along the coast and in the landscape as subjects. Chris also has a website at: christopherpitman.co.uk
Clare Jenkinson works with layers of oils using rags and palette knives to create colour, form and texture based on the experience of being by the sea. Her work is on: clarejenkinson.co.uk
We look forward to showing our work in the foyer gallery at the Pavilions in Teignmouth from 18th March – 19th April 2019
