Teignmouth Comedy Club - a great night of comedy with 3 comedians and compere.

Because all his work in Tier-3 zones has been cancelled, we were able to book Leo Kearse! Leo is part of the new wave of raw, bold, American-inspired comedians taking the big UK clubs by storm. His Extinction Rebellion video about bleeding-heart woke culture went mega-viral, selling out countless shows in the UK. Leo has performed in more than 20 countries. Provocative, thought-provoking and very funny, Leo exasperates a lot of his comedy peers – especially in his native Scotland – by being unpredictable, unapologetic and not very left-wing. Leo has written for Breaking The News, Mock The Week and The Mash Report, and even played Mick Fleetwood in the ITV drama Breaking The Band

"Kearse is seriously good. Quick, funny, smart and to the point...hilarious" The Scotsman

“Really does soar to some great comedic heights … very funny, very dirty, occasionally shocking, but edgily likeable and happily endearing, eliciting the guilty pleasure of laughter from a wide-eyed audience” – The List

“A triumphant hour of outrageous and dark jokes, not pushing at but gleefully running straight through the boundaries of taste and acceptability in today's ‘woke’ culture” – British Comedy Guide

Silly, warm and sharp as hell, Caroline Mabey is a true one-off. A fringe and circuit favourite, Caroline has appeared at festivals, theatres and clubs all around the UK and beyond including national tour support for Hal Cruttenden. She has also written for BBC Radio 4’s News Quiz and Josh Howie’s Losing It, and hosts her own show on London’s Riverside Radio. She even played bassoon alongside Jarvis Cocker onstage at the Hammersmith Apollo.

"Hilarious… funny and touching and brilliant" - The Guardian

“A mischievous, kooky talent” - Time Out

“Mabey is thoroughly enjoyable company…. The slightly deranged offspring of a menage-a-trois between Vic Reeves, Harry Hill and Floella Benjamin” – Evening Standard

James Bran is a fast-rising talent on the UK comedy circuit and is resident MC at London’s Crack Comedy and Patchwork Club venues. He fires off some very quirky stand-up but is just as adept at quick-witted conversations with the crowd. James is a polished and confident performer who is also known for his comedic poetry, and he has an impressive back catalogue of shows at comedy festivals such as the Edinburgh Fringe - such as the acclaimed comedy-Haiku show Invisible Badminton and Other Dreams.

“Succeeds in being both intriguing and funny”- Broadway Baby

“Creative and rather unusual, Bran's a hard act to follow” - ThreeWeeks

“I absolutely adored James Bran's combination of world-weary haikus given a deliciously wonky delivery”- The Huffington Post TOM GLOVER

Resident MC Tom Glover has hosted Teignmouth Comedy Club since it started and is a favourite with the local crowd. He is best known for the sort of bullet-proof crowd work that makes his audience part of the joke, not the butt of it. Tom is a true locally-sourced comedian: he knows how to pronounce Teignmouth and has more jokes about Trago Mills than travelling on the Tube!

“A firm audience favourite” – Chortle “Gets the audience onside in seconds; very sharp and engaging” – Ministry of Comedy
