SUSAN MURRAY

Circuit favourite and ‘nutter magnet’ Susan Murray has emerged as one of the best – and most unflappable - female stand-ups in the UK, and was the first woman to host ‘decompression’ gigs for the British Army / CSE. She has been a guest on Jeremy Hardy Talks to the Nation and has also starred in Stephen K Amos’ Idiots Guide, both for Radio 4. She’s also funny enough to write regularly for Have I Got News For You and Horrible Histories, and her international gig roster meant that – before Covid struck – she was rarely in the UK. So at least ONE good thing has happened this year…

‘A feisty, fire-headed pocket rocket’ - Broadway Baby.

‘Her ability to make quirky connections allows her to build a compelling, believable and richly funny picture of 21st-century womanhood…  Anyone who loves the work of Sarah Millican and Kerry Godliman will find plenty to enjoy here’ - The Guardian

TADIWA MAHLUNGE

As seen on BBC 1, BBC 2, BBC Sesh, Dave, Comedy Central, Comic Relief and heard on BBC Radio Wales, BBC Sounds, Union Jack Radio and as support for Kerri Pritchard McLean and Aisling Bea… PHEW! At 24 years of age Tadiwa Mahlunge has quickly established himself as one of comedy’s hottest prospects in years. No wonder that he was given a coveted spot in the Pleasance Reserve at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe.

‘Very bloody funny’ - Aisling Bea

STEPHEN CARLIN

Recently seen on BBC’s Comedy Underground and Comedy Central’s Alternative Comedy Experience, Stephen Carlin has clocked up rave reviews and sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Chosen as one of Stewart Lee’s “Ten Best Stand Up Comedians Ever” Carlin has supported Stewart Lee, Stephen Merchant & Tom Stade on their British tours.

As always, Carlin’s art lies in his ability to quarry wildly original material from the most conventional of starting points. By taking run-of-the-mill observations and then applying his relentless but warped logic. This married to his exceptional use of language and his brilliantly opinionated broadsides make for memorable routines - all delivered in his deadpan Scottish brogue.

‘A cult favourite among fans of the sharper end of stand-up’ - Guardian
